Information about the new wife of Prince Faisal of Jordan

Here is some information about Sara Qabbani, the new wife of Prince Faisal of Jordan.

She is of Lebanese but was raised in Saudi Arabia where her father worked for a leading oil company for the past 30 years. She graduated in 2000 from The American university of Cairo, Egypt with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communications specialising in integrated marketing communication. She had worked with her husband Prince Faisal as the director of his sustainable peace building initiative - Generations for peace

Prince Faisal bint al Hussein marries Sara Qabbani


Prince Faisal bint al Hussein married his fiancee Miss. Sara Bissam Qabbani yesterday at the Zahran palace in Amman, Jordan.

After signing the marriage contract, the groom"s brother, King Abdullah the II held a reception party which was attended bu the The Jordanian royals, the bride"s parents and the other members of the brides extended family.

Prince Faisal and Miss Sara Qabbani got engaged in April 2010 at the bride"s house in Saudi Arabia.

Prince Faisal is the second son of Late King Hussein and his British born wife, Princess Muna. Previously he was married to Princess Alia Tabbaa, they have 4 children.

The Elaph online newspaper reported that the bride got the title "Princess" according to Hashimite traditions and they will celebrate the wedding today in a private ceremony, but the official statement didn't clarify

1. Prince Faisal of Jordan (the younger brother of King Abdullah II of Jordan) announced his engagement to Sara Qabbani. The Alghad newspaper mentioned that the engagement was held in Miss Qabbani parents house in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Miss Qabbani is the managing director of Prince Faisal"s initiative Generations for peace, and she also worked as an advisor in the Prince"s office.

2. A new Prince for Romania : Nicholas de Roumaine Medforth-Mills.

3. Prince Georg of Prussia sold his family estate.

4. Prince Edouard von Lobkowicz passed away on 2nd April in Paris at the age of 83. The funeral was held at St. Thomas d'Aquin in Paris.

King Abdullah and Queen Rania receive bodies of Jordanian UN Peacekeepers.

Bodies of 3 UN Jordanian peacekeepers who died last week in Haiti"s earthquake arrived in Amman, Jordan on Tuesday. King Abdullah II and Queen Rania were present at the official ceremony which took place at the Queen Alia airport which is in the Jordanian capital.

After the funeral, with military honors, Their majesties met with the families of the officers and offered their condolences to the victims.

Also attending the ceremony HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, Prime minister and Royal court chief.

Shania Twain to Interview Queen Rania of Jordan

Canadian country star Shania Twain is set to interview Queen Rania of Jordan later this month On the Radio one series which is part of the CBC network.

The Interview is to discuss the 1goal charity which is trying to get the G8 countries to enroll 72 million African children in school by 2015.
