About a few days ago the Sweden Royal Court has announced that Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden are expecting their first child . The Child is due in March 2012.

Princess Melanie of Ligne, the daughter of Prince and Princess Wautier of Ligne, got engaged to be marry Mr. Paul Weingarten.

The Princess is the granddaughter of Late Prince Antoine of Ligne and Princess Alix of Ligne (nee Princess of Luxembourg, Princess Alix is the sister of Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg). Her uncle, Prince Michel is the current head of the Princely House of Ligne.

The Danish Royal twins are born! : A Prince and a Princess!

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was admitted in the Hospital on the 8th January 2011. The Crown Princess gave birth to a boy at 10:30 AM (Danish time) and then a baby girl being born at 10:56 am ( Danish time).

The Baby boy weighed 2.674 kg, and is 47cm long. The baby girl weighed 2.554 kg and is 46cm long.

The Crown Princely couple joked about calling the baby boy Elvis, because the King of Rock and the baby boy were born on the same day.

Yesterday, Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg celebrated his 90th Birthday in the presence of His children, children-in-law, grand Children, Great grand children, Alix the Dowager Princess of Ligne (sister of Grand Duke Jean), King Albert and Queen Paola of Belgium (the brother in law and co sister of Grand Duke Jean)

There was a concert to celebrate Grand Duke Jean"s 90th birthday.

The Alghad newspaper mentioned that the engagement was held in Miss Qabbani parents house in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Miss Qabbani is the managing director of Prince Faisal"s initiative Generations for peace, and she also worked as an advisor in the Prince"s office.

Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and Marius Borg Holiby attended a benefit concert for the earthquake victims in Haiti at the Opera at Olso .

Prince Haakon was impressed by the spirit of voluntary work and told the newspaper VG that he was deeply disturbed by the pictures showing the destructions and misery in Haiti.

The concert in the Opera house was sold out and more than 700,000 $ have been collected.

Prince Amedeo of Belgium in New York city

I have read that Prince Amedeo of Belgium, the son of Princess Astrid of Belgium and Archduke Lorenz of Austria, has moved to New York city to work with Deloitte. The Prince has been to New York with his father, they both took part in the New York Marathon in 2007.

Prince Amedeo studied Economics in LSE. He graduated in 2008.

Amedeo voting in the European elections (June 2009)
